“Staying at Hideout Villas in Finnish Lapland was like stepping into another world. The villa was amazing—proper Nordic luxury—with super comfy bedrooms, an open-plan living area with a roaring fire, a sauna, even an outdoor jacuzzi. We pride ourselves on being a “foodie” family, and our expectations were far exceeded. We had private chefs cooking mouthwatering local produce like reindeer steak and cloudberries, which we all became a bit obsessed with (we even cleared out Helsinki Airport’s supply of cloudberry jam).

The activities were out of this world. Our nine-year-old, Lana, absolutely fell in love with Jingle the Elf and was in floods of tears when we left. Seeing the Northern Lights in the middle of a frozen forest, steering a husky sled, meeting the real Father Christmas (it must’ve been him), and ice fishing followed by a barbecue in a traditional Finnish hut—these were moments we’ll never forget.

What really made the trip special, though, was the staff. They were so friendly and laid-back but couldn’t do enough for you. They provided everything—snowsuits, amazing snow boots, and even luxury Mercedes vehicles to get around in—so we always felt safe and comfortable, even in -30°C. The kids were in heaven, playing in the snow, tobogganing, and building snowmen with Jingle.

If you’re thinking about a family trip to Lapland, Hideout Villas is the one. The service, the food, the activities—it’s all on another level. An experience you and your kids will remember forever.

The 2 “Drivers “ who are so much more than drivers .. They were fire builders for marshmallow , snowball fighters , sledge pushers … so helpful with all the clothes and photo takers they were amazing- and of course the chef ... !

Such a well organised company nothing went a miss. So much so that I think we have to do it again next year.

We wanted to reach out and let you know we had such an epic trip because of the Hideout group . The house was gorgeous and Marco and Mo really made it so so special. They were the BEST!

We are forever grateful for everthing. The private session with Santa and the elves was so precious. We felt so special and my daughter was in ahhh the whole time. (Thank goodness we didn’t do it in Rovaniemi). Thank you for all the special details. The elf being at the house when we got there, the beautiful candles lit outside and everywhere in the evening was such a nice touch, all the thoughtful things Marco and Mo did for us. They really listened to us and made it happen, just incredible service. We felt so spoiled and enjoyed every moment. These memories will last us a lifetime.

I already have friends asking for the information. And will be happy to share.

We were so touched by the hospitality of our host Nikola. He made sure to take care of our itinerary and give us a once in a lifetime experience. Also Eero was an incredible chef and he was able to cater to all of our taste buds and we miss having him cook for us.

Let me tell you that we have had a fantastic time!!! All the ingredients for the perfect trip were there, good activities, fabulous weather, sun, snow, northern lights, fantastic team and a beautiful house! The clothing also was perfect…

Really a big thanks to Samuli and Jussi they were amazing!!! Sam was really a more then superb “butler” not a thing was to much for him! He also paid good attention, if I sniffed 2 times the next day there were tissues, because I said I love coffee he brought me a cappuccino, he was really really good!
